If you have an existing solar PV installation, you would need to swap your inverter for a hybrid inverter that can divert electricty to your batteries.
These are generally more expensive than a standard inverter but this is definitely possible to do, and if you are lucky enough to get the original feed in tariffs, this can be a sweet way of getting even more out of your system.
